Interior Inspiration: {gorgeous chandeliers}

By Jenn Cox

Hi there! My name is Jenn and I write for Arcadian Lighting, an e-commerce website that specializes in profiling the top lighting trends from around the world. I have been writing about interior design, colours, light fixtures, furniture, antiques, and more for over a decade, and I love finding inspiring websites like La Petite Fleur de Londres by Natalia Fernandes. Thank you, Natalia, for letting me guest post here today about chandeliers - hope you enjoy it!

Looking for some interior inspiration? It can be found with gorgeous chandeliers. A statement of indulgence and luxury, both in decades past and still today, chandeliers come in all shapes and sizes, all materials and styles. Modern and bling-y or classic and stately, there's no shortage to the versatility of these lavish light fixtures. Here are eight gorgeous chandeliers.

A twist on the traditional
Anythingology: This trio of modish chandeliers creates instant eye appeal, with its simple design and unique wire shades.

Bathroom beaut
Better Make A Note: What's more luxurious than having a crystal chandelier ceiling light in a bathroom? It infuses the space with opulence and sophistication.

A spot of yellow
Kelly interiordesign: The yellow floral pattern applied to one section of the wall is stunning. However, it's the white chandelier that really fills the room with old-world elegance.

Antique grace
The Visual Vamp: A dated chandelier adds personality to this sitting room, with bronze accents mimicked in the draperies and wood furniture.

A dash of the dated
HGTV: A spherical globe-like ceiling light in aged wrought iron looks fabulous in this rich wood-detailed entryway.

Luxe for little ones
Joie de Vivre: A nursery swathed in rich fabrics and colours looks fit for a princess with this crystal bauble chandelier as the finishing touch.

One-of-a-kind dining
Cococozy: This gorgeous chandelier is especially unique, with a ruffled base and small lamps with miniature shades, a whimsical topper for this casual dinette.

Changing times
NETROBE: Give a functional space like a closet a much-needed dose of glam with a chandelier, like this modest contemporary model , which is sumptuous paired with the tufted walls.

Versace for H&M Collection

This stunning collaboration between Versace and H&M is exotically hot! Featuring bold colours, luscious leather, studs and full on drama, this collection is set to be a knockout! The collection will be available in 300 stores worldwide and online on November 17. It will also be the first H&M designer collection featuring homewear, which is due to launch in January 2012.

"The collection for H&M is the essence of Versace. For the collaboration we've brought back from the archives, as well as from more recent collections, some of the icons of Versace, such as the bright prints, the Greek key and daring cuts. I can't wait to see how H&M's wide audience will make these pieces their own,"  Donatella Versace.

Beauty Inspiration: {beautiful eyes}

When it comes to applying make-up I find the eyes to be the most difficult. What eyeshadow should I wear? Should I do the smokey eye? Eyeliner, no eyeliner? The general rule is when you have a smokey eye, you should complement it with nude lips, and red lips look better with no smokey eye. I personally think that you should go with what looks good on you. Maybe the smokey eye and the red lips look amazing on you, and that's all that matters. :)

It's good to keep up to date with the latest trends as they are a source of inspiration for new looks. Here are a few amazing techniques and products I have come across. Tell me what you think?!

Paperself's amazing lashes are inspired by the Chinese art of papercutting. I find them to be so unique. each lash also contains Chinese symbolic meanings. Paperself is available on the wonder website Zuneta.

Venetian Plaster Presentation London: {marco polo decor}

In July, I attended the Marco Polo Decor Venetian plaster presentation in London. It was a delightful event, primarily because I am fascinated by the whole process and the finished look of Venetian plaster. There are a variety of different textures, finishes and colours making it a good product to use in interiors and exteriors. San Marco Colorificio is a top company in decorative wall finishes. Have a look at these images, they are simply divine!
