Get gold and glamorous!

I haven't done a beauty post in a while but with so many autumn and winter events coming up it's necessary right? The thing I love most about autumn is that we can start wearing the red lip and the smokey eye, together. It's a look that has always been glamorously stylish and can be toned down during the day with winter jumpers or dressed up for a stunning evening look.

During autumn and winter, the best colour to compliment both the winged liner and red lips is gold. Shimmery golds look elegantly fabulous with winged liner and smokey eyes and as christmas is approaching there are many eyeshadow palettes with golden tones available in many beauty and department stores. My favourite eyeshadow palettes are from Urban Decay, they are long lasting and super durable. Below is some inspiration for your next evening out. Get gold and get glamorous!

Fleur de Londres on Tumblr.

Hope you're all having a great week. I've recently joined Tumblr and I absolutely love it. It's quite similar to Pinterest. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Pinterest, it's a platform where you can create albums of things you like which inspire you from repining images already on the website or from any webpage on the internet. I highly recommend signing up if you haven't already. It can bring hours of fun. Tumblr is a blog in itself, the only difference is it is imagery based. I find this really inspirational and somewhere I can escape to for a couple of hours. Below are some images from my Tumblr, I hope you find the images as pretty and inspiring as I do.

Interior Inspiration: {scandinavian design}

Scandinavian design emerged in the Scandinavian countries Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland in the 1950s. It was a movement of design which highlighted simplistic design, function and minimalism. Scandinavian design arose from a cultural movement where Realism was replaced by Modernism as an escape from the Realism that dominated the art world during the 19th century. Affordable, beautiful objects were able to be implemented within design schemes, bringing a fresh new, contemporary outlook on interiors and its space.

The Scandinavian way of living is portrayed through it's designs and interiors. Most Nordic designers are very passionate about this way of minimalistic living that their designs are inspired by nature and are kept clean, simple and easily enjoyable whilst being beautifully functional.

Interior Inspiration: {xintiandi penthouse}

This magnificent three-storey penthouse situated in Shanghai's Xintiandi district was stunningly designed by Joyce Wang Studio. Renowned for producing amazing interiors this residential space is quite unique. It's an industrial fairytale, with the use of strong masculine materials such as wood-grain etched concrete and corten steel, presented in a glamorous way. The walnut timber which lines much of the interior is fabulous. This wonderful palette of raw materials portrays the history of warehouse qualities of industrial buildings of old Shanghai. What is most magnificent with this interior, is how well it works. It's raw, yet intimate; industrial, yet moody. It's a fabulous and unique piece of well executed design.

My Red Dress

Red is huge this season, seen lavishly on the catwalk by many designers such as Valentino, it's a colour to stay during this fall and winter. If you personally find red too strong of a colour to wear as an apparel, then accessories such as a pair or heeled red shoes or a chic red handbag can go a long way in portraying this trend. I'm a huge fan of red lipstick, but remember to tone it down with neutral colours or black attire. A red dress can be worn for a formal occasion or a casual one. Below I share my love for this seasons great trend.

Me and my red dress.
