Citroën DS3, not just a car, a lifestyle

Last month I was invited to Paris where I was given the privilege to test drive the new Citroën DS3 and DS4. You can read about my Parisian experience here.

DS3 is an independent brand stemming from the world known French manufacturer Citroën. It is the epitome of a city car. Its ergonomically designed body and attention to detail delivers high levels of wellbeing for the body and mind.

I felt safe and beautifully fitted inside the DS3 model. The drive was excitingly thrilling and felt refreshing. The classy details of the DS3 really contribute to the overall driving experience. You automatically feel exhilaratingly confident and mindful. Both the interior and exterior stimulates fashion. You can customise it also, to quite a high degree, ranging from a choice of colours, seat trims and four different floating roofs. The details are impeccably portrayed throughout and convey an energetic and vibrant city lifestyle. The car itself is a depiction of the person who is driving it. That is the beauty about the DS3; I felt super confident and appealing in this on trend motor. I wanted to drive it throughout Paris, London and Milan.

Top Gear gave the DS3 an 8/10 and described it as, "A garlicky breath of fresh air,...brave and charming." The style and detailing is superb and one feature in particular that stands out is the Active City Brake function, which activates if an object is sensed ahead of the car at speeds of under 30mph.

The DS3 is embraced in style and affordable luxury, it feels elegant without pretension. It is definitely a model that stands out and breaks all the rules in a contemporary way. Its visual appeal complements its design, comfort and style. The headlights are LED technology, which consumes less energy on dipped beam and even more so, on main beam and provide a longer lighting lifespan. The lower CO2 emissions also add to its appeal. The most ecological version, the BlueHDi 100 turbodiesel, consumes on average, 3.01/100km and emits only 79g/km of CO2.

The DS3 is not just a car, it's a lifestyle.

"Fabulously different with bags of character and daring design ideas." - Top Gear

Falling Garden: {Gerda Steiner & Jörg Lenzlinger}

This beautifully enchanting art installation, wonderfully executed by Swiss artists Gerda Steiner and Jörg Lenzlinger was created for the 50th Venice Biennial in 2003. It oozes so much elegance and fantasy which is truly mesmerising. When I came across this beautiful piece I felt at peace with its beauty. It's such an extravagant and powerful installation, which I find lovely.

"The Doge (Mocenigo) needed a church so as to be able to have a monumental tomb built for himself, the church (San Staë) needed a saint so as to be able to be built, the saint (San Eustachio) needed a miracle so as to be pronounced a saint, the miracle needed a stag in order to be seen, and we built the garden for the reindeer.The visitors lie on the bed above the doge’s gravestone, and the garden thinks for them."
