Last year I had the wonderful opportunity to visit Kips Bay Decorator Show House whilst in New York during New York Design Week with Modenus and Blog Tour. This year the design and inspiration is just as fantastic and fresh. Below is Timothy Whealon's take, on a part of the Kips Bay Show House for 2016. Timothy who is an interior designer who specialises in high-end interiors, beautifully embraced the geometric pattern within his design. The almost pastel prints work superbly amongst the light walls and gold furniture. Timothy Whealon incorporates a foundation of classicism into his designs with a fresh perspective which makes them timeless and contemporary. He creatively mixes items from different periods and cultures making each interior unique. Custom pieces are also often incorporated into his designs and his work is enhanced by his knowledge of the international art and antiques market and also by his team of skilled artists and craftsmen. Geometric prints in both fashion and interiors will be seen everywhere from the catwalk to the high street. This is definitely a trend to look out for in 2017.
