Old Hollywood Bedrooms

Hi, I’m Susi, a writer at Design Shuffle a great social media site for designers and design lovers to share projects and ideas. I’m so excited to be guest blogging about old Hollywood today for La Petite Fleur de Londres. Old Hollywood is one of my favorite styles; it’s so glamorous and gorgeous. My post is all about old Hollywood bedrooms—nothing could be more glam. Enjoy!

Old Hollywood is synonymous with feminine glamour. Sparkly surfaces, velvets, button-tufting, vintage style wallpaper, mirrors, sumptuous texture and gorgeous lighting all give this bedroom that old Hollywood glam.

Vintage touches from the 40s give this chic bedroom an old Hollywood glamour. A 1940s chandelier and a starburst mirror along with mirrored closets and a fur throw are perfect for a Hollywood starlet.

Designed by the icon David Hicks, this vintage room defines Hollywood Regency. A mix of modern and antique furnishings combine with layers of pattern to create a room that feels stylish even today.

Another work by David Hicks, this bedroom is a lovely example of old Hollywood style. Layers of patterns on the curtains and carpet are so chic. The skirted vanity is so girly and glamorous.

For an old Hollywood look in your bedroom, incorporate decorating ideas seen in this beautiful bedroom. Mirrored furniture, popular in the 30s and 40s, is a great way to bring old Hollywood glamour to a room. Crystal lamps and button tufting on the vanity stool add additional glamour.

Hollywood Regency style has the glamour of old Hollywood mixed with vintage modern. This orange upholstered headboard is Hollywood Regency while the chrome lamp is vintage modern—a great mix that feels like the Rat Pack’s Palm Springs.

This glamorous bedroom has gorgeous sparkling details and personal touches of old Hollywood. The vintage style lamps and chandelier mix with tailored touches like the monogrammed pillow.

This black, white and gray bedroom design is like a classic Old Hollywood movie. Gorgeous vintage style and a pop of turquoise make this bedroom so glamorous and so chic.

houses are very different here. I guess we have so many wood houses because of all the forest land. And if you didn't have a toilet in the bathroom – most Americans would find that very odd! It does seem like different parts of the world have very different styles!
