A couple of weekends ago I was delighted when I was invited to a DS World event in Paris where I was able to test-drive and experience the Citroen DS 3 and DS 4 car models. We arrived on a Friday night and after a quick bag drop-off at the fabulous La Maison Champs Elysees hotel, we went for a lovely meal at a Parisian restaurant. The ambience was somewhat beautifully surreal, the Parisian air that night was truly magical. After our meal we walked to the Eiffel Tower which seems to increase in size every time I see it. I’ve always been very fond of Parisian architecture and it was quite beautiful to revisit Paris after many years.
The following morning after a splendid breakfast with the crew, Gavin from Petrol Blog, Gabriel from PUSH IT magazine, Pete from Flush Magazine and the lovely Charlotte we headed to DS World, Paris showroom. I was given a tour of the showroom and had a feel of the great materials that DS have chosen to work with for their cars. We then went on what felt like a ‘Fast and Furious’ tour of Paris and it’s outskirts. It was a beautiful drive, very smooth and the scenery was magnificent.
After a two hour drive we went to the delicious LeNotre for hot chocolate and the most tantalising macaroons I’ve ever eaten. I was then given a tour of the new Scented Garden which has been created in Versailles, along with a tour of the magnificently designed Guerlain perfumery boutique.
Our day finished off with a delicious lunch at LeNotre where I was able to meet other wonderful people along with many international and fabulous bloggers. I also had the opportunity to speak with Arnaud Ribald, Vice-President DS Global Sales and Marketing which was extremely engaging and quite inspiring.
A thorough post highlighting my experience of the DS 3 and DS 4 cars will be added soon, so keep posted!
