Hallmark Hotel London Chigwell Prince Regent review

A couple of weekends ago I had the pleasure of staying at one of the very many Hallmark Hotels in the UK. The one I stayed at was in Chigwell, Prince Regent. The entrance into the hotel grounds is very spacious and ideal for grand events such as weddings and large parties. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the reception staff who booked us in and confirmed our reservation for afternoon tea which I was really looking forward to. The hotel has recently been renovated and I noticed this just by walking to my room. The room was much larger than I had anticipated and exceptionally contemporary compared to the overall Georgian style of the hotel. The decor was sultry and sophisticated with an absolutely gorgeously styled glamorous bathroom. I have to say it had one of the most comfiest beds I have ever slept in, but I generally do like the feel and comfort of hotel beds. After dropping our bags we went downstairs to the brasserie-styled restaurant which features an adjacent bar and lounge to enjoy our afternoon tea and yes, it was definitely tasty. I’ve had quite a few afternoon teas in various locations but this one, in particular had the best sandwiches.

One of its best features has to be the stunning historical architecture and beautiful landscape gardens which is very popular for outdoor weddings.

Overall, it was a lovely hotel and very family friendly. The afternoon tea and full English breakfast was very delicious and the superior double room we stayed it was stylishly comfy and definitely to my taste.
