Upon entering Taylor Taylor London salon, located on Commercial Street in Shoreditch, I was pleasantly greeted by the warm and welcoming staff there. The interior was mesmerising and luscious and although I had already been to their other salon based in Liberty London, I was totally swept away by its grandeur. An appointment had been booked for me to get a treatment, tint and cut and although I had a slight idea of what I wanted I knew it was best to leave it to the experts and how right I was! Whilst I was sitting on their comfy sofa I couldn’t help notice the fully equipped bar with a menu of tantalising cocktails to choose from. I was also totally feeling the music playlist which had the best mix of the 90s. What a wonderful experience so far, I thought to myself. I felt I was far away from the hustle and busyness of London, especially with Liverpool street station being down the road. The atmosphere was super relaxing and really stylish. I was offered a drink whilst I was waiting but opted for an iced lemon water, instead of a cocktail, as it was still morning although a little alcohol would have gone down well! The interior is beyond beautiful and everything compliments each other so well, such as the wallpaper and chandeliers. It is also really spacious inside with various floors. I went downstairs to get my hair done and the lady that I had a consultation with was so good and honest with what was achievable with my hair. I’ve been bleaching my hair throughout the last few months so its condition isn’t great. Having naturally dark roots I had to opt for some sort of style that would balance the bleached blonde and dark roots. The lady advised me that the best thing to do would be to get a gentle dark cooling tint put in at the roots, to give it a shadow root effect and nice balayage. This would also neutralise the warm tones in my hair. Getting a tint is much kinder to hair as it is not permanent nor does it deposit as much as a permeant dye would. Also, if you’re in two minds of staying blonde a tint is a great way to go dark for a while as it’s easier to get the blonde back once it fades. I had an olaplex treatment mixed in with the tint and also after shampooing. The bathrooms, as i’d like to call them, were also very sultry and decorated to a glamorous high standard. It was so relaxing and the scents coming from the shampoos and conditioners which were being used were divine. It was then time for my cut. The guy who cut and styled my hair was really charismatic and done his best to keep my length even though I needed a good cut after all the bleaching damage I had encountered over the summer. At the end I was left with a big smile on my face and a gorgeous new colour and hair style. I loved the whole experience and I wanted to ask for a copy of their playlist, it was that good. The staff are talented and also well informed about hair care as I left with a lot of information on how to care and look after my hair. Overall, I would definitely recommend Taylor Taylor London as a place you can go to, to get your hair done knowing they will do an exceptional job. I love my hair and can’t wait to go back!
