Fine Dining at Chucs

Every summer, since I was a little girl I would hit the beach and spend weeks by the sea soaking up the sun, smelling the waves and eating the most fresh and delicious seafood. All these emotions and nostalgia came flooding back when I visited Chucs. Alongside the service being very chic and professional, the food was delicious. I started with an appetising plate of walnuts, which I dipped in honey, a delicious selection of bread and cheese. I chose octopus carpaccio with fennel and orange for my antipasti which was so smooth and delicious. The octopus was perfectly cut into the thinnest of slices and the taste was amazing. I followed this with grilled calamari and grilled radiccio. Again, the squid was soft and perfectly cooked. Each bite would take me back to a summer holiday by the sea. I could smell the sea breeze with every mouthful. I finished off my delicious meal with a chocolate fondant and vanilla ice cream which was really nice. I’m a chocolate lover, from drinking hot chocolate in summer to devouring the tastiest hazelnut chocolate bars, so I was excited to try this. Yes, it definitely satisfied.

Chucs Restaurant & Cafe is the sister concept to the 1950s-inspired swimwear and men’s fashion label of the same name, founded by Charles Finch. Chucs Restaurant & Cafe is in four London locations, Dover Street, Westbourne Grove, Harrods and at the iconic Serpentine Sackler Gallery in Hyde Park, serving Italian favourites in exquisite settings. Fine dining at it’s best.
